The art of international knowledge exchange
Dutch people have been discovering new worlds for centuries. This is true in education too. One of those worlds is the world of internationalisation;  the world without borders.
 

Internationalisation in education means establishing and maintaining contacts with foreign schools and institutions in order to promote knowledge exchange. Such exchange may be virtual; modern means of communication have made the world a lot smaller. The pen friend from the next town is not really much closer than a chat-friend from Moscow. But of course you can also go abroad yourself!

International practical vocational training? So valuable!
Some students have the courage to make a leap into the world without borders and take up a work placement with a foreign company. You’ll learn so much there! Not just about the activities within that specific sector or company. Above all, you will also gain knowledge and experience of the culture and society of that country. What’s more, you will pass on your own knowledge in the other direction.

But internationalisation is not yet taken for granted. In this field, too, there are the pioneers and voyagers of discovery sailing into the wide world unprepared.
